ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
These systems are responsible for automatically adjusting cruise control speed in order to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles ahead.
BLIND SPOT MONITORING
By using sensors on the outside of the vehicle, blind spot monitoring systems will alert the driver when they detect vehicles that are in the adjacent lanes behind them.
REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
These systems activate when a vehicle is put in reverse, giving driver auditory or visual warning signals if anything is detected too close to the rear bumper.
PARKING ASSIST/SELF-PARKING
Sensors on the front, back, and sides of the vehicle are used to identify a parking spot and help the driver track the vehicle’s position.
FORWARD COLLISION WARNING
The vehicle monitors its speed, the speed of the vehicle in front of it, and the distance between the two vehicles to warn the driver of a possible collision.
ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS/ STEERING
These systems are designed to increase safety and visibility around curves and over hills by turning the lights to better focus their beam ahead.
AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
These systems work with sensors in the front of the vehicle to detect impending collisions and then automatically brake if the driver isn’t able to do so in time.
AUTOMATIC HIGH-BEAM & DIMMING
When approaching another vehicle with high beams on, these systems kick in to automatically switch to low beams so other drivers aren’t accidentally blinded.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING
The lane departure warning system is designed to alert drivers when they accidentally drift into other lanes without signaling.
LANE KEEPING ASSIST
This works alongside the lane departure warning system to help drivers with staying in the proper lane and gently steers them back in the right direction if needed.
MODULE PROGRAMMING
Vehicles today are equipped with many computers that oftentimes require programming or updates. This process requires specific scan tool equipment to properly load those functions into a specific control module in the vehicle.

Is ADAS calibration necessary?
Yes! Advanced Driver Assistance Systems need attention like any other part of the vehicle. It is especially needed after collision repairs and after performing repairs on a vehicle that can affect the accuracy of aforementioned systems above.
When should I have an ADAS calibrated?
They can be affected by various factors and need to be properly calibrated after a routine maintenance or service, such as:

Can I recalibrate ADAS on my own?
While some vehicles are equipped to self calibrate, many are not.
